OMG just watched your stay with those religious fanatics that picket at funerals of our (US) servicemen. I do not know how you stuck out that whole visit, what horrible people they are, akin to white supremist families that teach their children to hate from an early age. But THEYare the only ones getting into heaven what delusional sick people.

I watched this episode too and having served our country and knowing many other vetereans I dont see how they do what they do I saw how they tried to say Louis was changing thier words when they had contraditicing remarks to thier own words

I agree with Sheila: How did you stick that out? You handled the accusations and pressures very well, I thought--particularly when the other documentary videographer and his wife pressured you to follow in their errors and when you were being accused of twisting words and meanings.

They missed Jesus’ discussion on the greatest commandment along with the many other, similar Scriptures. This group is obviously off-base from typical Christian teachings.

I understand your position on the Bible, but if you visit the group again, I would suggest asking for some specific Scriptural references that they use to support their teachings and even inquire with specific Biblical passages that discuss love, compassion, grace, or mercy in relation to their protests and actions. They often spoke about God, what the Bible says, and Hell, yet never once do I remember them quoting specific Scriptures or examples from the Bible in relation to their actions. Such quotes would provide a better understanding of their interpretation of Scripture.

It was a good documentary. I am glad The National Geographic Channel broadcasted it.

Two more thoughts that I forgot in my previous post. For their high level of self-righteousness, they sure are materialistic. In homes where you shot video, I saw multiple flat panel televisions in multiple rooms. One had a large TV mounted from the ceiling in the kitchen. They spend money on material things yet have no compassion.

Also, I thought it was interesting that the little boy that mentioned the pink caves or whatever had a Tie Fighter from Star Wars on a shelf. They have such a one-way holier-than-thou mentality yet they let their boy have a Star Wars figurine. Many people similar to them view Star Wars as an evil film and do not support it. So their self-righteousness is selective.

Yes, but there seems to be is a lot of misdirected anger in many of the subcults Louis visits: shouldn't we asking why these people are so angry? What is about the US that produces such anger? Have you not noticed that the other instances of violent tribalistic behaviour witnessed in other programmes are in prisons, African prisons, and Africa?
