Hi Louis,
I would like to start by making two comments.
a) You are very impressive. Obviously of immense intellect, you are an expert journalist with an admirable amount of courage and determination
b) My post has nothing to do with Porn..
I would like to comment on your “Ultra Zionist” piece. I apologise if it is misplaced here, but I couldn’t locate a more appropriate forum.
You seemed to mention that the settlers were in contravention to a majority of “interpretations” of international law. I think you overstated this and used media stories to determine the “majority” of opinion rather then actually canvassing such opinion. My evidence is your lack of quoting… It’s ok – you’re not alone in this error. Other media outlets use the same “benchmark” as you.
Concerning the incident where Palestinian protesters collided with Israeli solders over a yellow fence, you stated the “opening salvo” came for the Israeli side. This was alarming considering your own footage depicted that the opening shot came from the protesting Palestinians.
My last comment (In the hope of getting a response, I must in fairness, limit my own offering) was in relation to the fact that you did not address some of your Israeli subjects claims that there never was a Palestinian presence in the land or that Palestinians are really primarily Jordanians. I am curious as to why you decided to ignore these claims.
Ultimately, I contend that your piece suffered from a significant dose of “under-dog bias”. Afterall, who wants to support a side that is protected by a large, well-funded military force. I get it, the underdog is always more popular. But the important thing to remember is that the underdog doesn’t necessarily represent the truth – a fact which is particularly poignant in this story….
